Welcome to Alternative Education!
Hello! I am Keni Iverson, director of Grove Alternative Academy! I have taught at Grove Public Schools for 12 years, and I have been a teacher / coach for 18 years. I am proud to be a graduate of Grove High School, NEO A&M Jr. College, Northeastern State University and the University of Texas Arlington masters degree program.
I have taught alternative education for 9 years. There have been numerous success stories from many students who have gone through our program. Our students at Grove Alternative Academy receive a quality education and skills that prepare them to become productive members of our community.
Alt. Ed. has moved locations this year! We are now located on the Grove Middle School campus in the student center. We love our new location and our building offers us many exciting options for future growth and educational opportunities for our students.
We have many activities going on this year. We are volunteering to help with the new backpack program for our schools, we have two job shadows planned, and are working on implementing a new art program this year. We are excited about these and many other activities for our school year.
At Grove Alternative....Success is the only alternative!
